Heute, am 30. März 2020, wurde bekannt gegeben, dass die United Petfood Gruppe das Trockenfutterwerk von IAMS Europe B.V. in Coevorden übernimmt. (NL). Dies ist bereits die zweite Akquisition im Jahr 2020, nachdem die Übernahme des italienischen Unternehmens Effeffe Petfood am 9. Januar 2020 bekannt gegeben wurde.
Das sagt United Petfood auf ihrer eigenen Website:
“ International pet food manufacturer United Petfood has acquired the Dutch IAMS Europe B.V. plant in Coevorden from Spectrum Brands. The site currently manufactures the IAMS and EUKANUBA brands and will continue to do so in future. United Petfood is merely taking over the plant. The Spectrum Brands organisation will continue to own and market the brands.”
Mit der Übernahme des Werks und Fortführung der Produktion der etablierten Marken plant United Petfood, die zusätzliche Kapazität und die neue Technologie, die in die Gruppe kommt, zu nutzen, um ihr Geschäft weiter auszubauen und auch zusätzliche Private Label Mengen an dem Standort zu etablieren. Dies wird die Position der Gruppe auf dem europäischen Markt weiter stärken.
