Per today, March 30th, 2020, it was announced that United Petfood group acquires the dry petfood plant of IAMS Europe B.V. in Coevorden. (NL). This is already the second acquisition in 2020 after the acquisition of the Italian company Effeffe Petfood was announced January 9, 2020.<\/p>\n

United Petfood says at their own website:<\/p>\n

\u201c\u00a0International pet food manufacturer United Petfood has acquired the Dutch IAMS Europe B.V. plant in Coevorden from Spectrum Brands. The site currently manufactures the IAMS and EUKANUBA brands and will continue to do so in future. United Petfood is merely taking over the plant. The Spectrum Brands organisation will continue to own and market the brands.<\/span>\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Further to taking over the plant and continuing to work on the established brands, United Petfood plans\u00a0 to use the additional capacity and new technology which comes into the group to further grow their business and also develop additional private label volume at the site. This will strengthen their position in the European market.<\/p>\n<\/div>
